On 29 June 2024, part I was published and will change according to the received feedback on Part II. However, Canada Disability Benefits will begin in July 2025.

Initially, $6.1 Billion will be provided for the first 6 years and $1.4 Billion for ongoing years. However, it will cover all the costs required to deliver the Bill C-22 Canada Disability Benefits. Total funding will cover the increasing awareness costs and all other operating costs. It will also cover the medical forms applied for the Disability Tax Credit and help people address the financial barriers to getting these benefits. The consultation period will be open till the 23rd of September 2024. So, people can share their views and feedback with proposed regulations which are extended from 30 days to 86 days.

    I broke my back so I can barely do anything I have two separated this summer bus so it’s hard for me to get around and this will help me out lost cuz I don’t have a lot of money for food or to get around and please help me as much as you can anything will help God bless you and thank you so much sincerely

  2. What about the people who are 65 and up getting benefits because all our work injuries are considered time injuries ea.mine occurred in 1984 when I was in my 30s and now only have 50% use of arm leg and back why are liberals ignoring the seniors who are suffering now after 65 yrs old

I’m on disability from a car injury and I been on it ever since I’m a single mother barely making it by I been waiting on priority status housing 3 years now and couch surfing with my son and dog . The government definitely isn’t lifting us out of poverty or helping us in any way it’s only gotten worst and promises are just that I haven’t seen any changes .

  4. I have been on disability for over 20 years, and we have been ignored by our government.
    They give themselves high raises and us, a cost of living, this is not acceptable.
    I believe we as a country and society will be judged by how we treat the disabled and the ones in need, we are not going a good job.
    Stop taking about it, time to act now not in a year of two or three, we need help now.

  5. Been disabled since 2008. Just got to suffer and watch my life go down the toilet. Life with very little money is not much of a life.
